About the Position
Berkshire Law Group seeks a senior-level attorney to join our highly regarded Trusts & Estates and Elder Law practice. The ideal candidate must have experience in trust and estate planning, with a proven track record of advising individuals, families, while working with their professional advisors on tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Draft estate planning documents
- Advise clients on complex and strategic estate planning
- Implement asset protection techniques
- Minimize income, gift, and estate tax implications
- Present at seminars, webinars, workshops, and various educational events
Scope of practice includes:
- Prepare wills, revocable trusts, durable powers of attorney, health care proxies, and HIPAA releases
- Establish and administer various trusts
- Establish LLCs and specialized trusts for asset protection
- Create sophisticated Family and Life Insurance Trusts
- Formulate charitable giving strategies involving various trust structures
- Advise on MA and federal taxable estate administration
Qualifications:
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar.
- Experience in estate planning. Trust and estate administration and elder law experience a plus.
- Experience meeting with prospective and existing clients with ability to build long-term relationships
- Leadership and management skills, desire to grow and expand firm with path to partnership
- Exceptional skills and efficiency in drafting and reviewing core and sophisticated estate planning and financial documents.
- Self-motivated, personable, and able to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, client-focused environment.
Compensation:
Berkshire Law Group offers a competitive compensation package including a competitive base salary, bonus potential, health insurance with cost supplement, IRA with company match, biweekly yoga and weekly weight training classes, reimbursement for professional development, and elder law and trust administration training (as needed). Potential for a hybrid work arrangement with at least three (3) days in office.
